By society's standards, Lizzie Velasquez did not meet the strict "supermodel" guidelines of what should be considered "beautiful." The "World's Ugliest Woman" was her title. But as the old saying goes, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." So, Velasquez decided to turn the hate into something positive by creating her own definition of beauty and asking people the important question: "How do you define yourself?"
